nkography

nkography was born out of the idea  that there is something more than creating beautiful buildings in the office. An idea that, as an architectural profession, we create buildings that last for a millennia. 

But how do we showcase those buildings?

To me it isn’t just a ‘money shot’ - it’s how people interact within the space, how people potentially use it as a landmark for directions, and how maybe in the future, the use may change. Capturing a building is capturing the full story from beginning to end.

nkography is ran by me, Nicole Gerou. Together I am focused on capturing authentic moments in real time. 

In all honesty though, I am a bootstrapper working on perfecting my saunter, an introverted extrovert, who is an architectural designer by day and thinker + doer by night. 

Ever since I could hold a camera in my hand, I was taking photos - of anything and everything. I’ve grown to look at situations through multiple lenses - knowing there was always something to be learned.

It has been with this in mind where I became to pride myself on being a millennial in the workplace - some people’s worst nightmare. I refuse to take no for an answer and I’m not afraid to stand-up, speak my mind, and search for a ‘yes’ somewhere else.

I like to think in rhetorical questions and am constantly curious about what life is teaching us. I enjoy conversations over coffee and have found that conversations can be a tool for learning.
